About and sources
Model Cost Check helps you work out what AI models cost to use through their APIs, from the prices the companies publish.
Where the prices come from
Every price on this site is copied from the company’s own pricing page. We do not use reseller prices, estimates from other sites, or prices quoted in the news.
Prices were last checked on October 13, 2026. We check them every week and record changes in the price change log. The whole list is published as prices.json.
What the numbers leave out
The calculator and tables use list prices for text in US dollars. They do not include taxes, regional or data-residency surcharges, tool fees such as web search, image and audio pricing (except where shown), negotiated discounts, or free tiers. Token counts for words and characters are estimates. For a real bill, count your tokens with the company’s own tools.
Who runs this site
Model Cost Check is an independent site. It is not connected to, paid by, or endorsed by Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI or DeepSeek. Model and company names belong to their owners and are used only to say what is being compared.
The site was built with the help of Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic, one of the companies compared here. To keep that from tilting anything, every price comes from the companies’ own pages, models are listed in price order, and ties are shown as ties. The site compares prices only and does not rank which model is better.
